Who are we?
The Center is being founded to serve the needs of injured birds of prey in the Tampa Bay Area. There are approximately 3.4 million people in our immediate service area that includes: Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas and Polk Counties. Currently there is no single facility that can accommodate all of the different species of birds of prey that we have in our area for rehabilitation and flight conditioning.
Our goal is to build a raptor rehabilitation facility to serve injured and sick birds of prey found in our area. We will triage any other birds that may be brought to our center from anywhere in the state of Florida.
Our practices will be based on sound and proven protocols.
Our hospital will include a state-of-the-art exam room, x-ray and laboratory facilities on-site.
How you can help? Giving Tuesday Dec. 3, 2019
I just hit an owl with my car.” What would you do in this situation? For those of us who work with the rescue, it’s both a stressful and an exciting time to help a bird or animal in need. It also means about 20 hours of care, 150 miles of transport, and $500 in food and supplies. This Giving Tuesday, we need your help to raise the money to purchase land that will allow us to care for every bird we rescue in one place.
We are a non-profit that exists on the donations of people like you! If you are unable to send money, we understand, there are many other ways that you can help. Your donation of goods such as paper towels and Garbage bags, bleach, gauze and bandages can go a long way.
